We live near Erie PA. They have been declared the snowest city this year. I think they have had 130 inches plus of snow this year. There normal snow fall is 80 something inches. Still alot. We have had 100 inches of snow, 26 days below 0, 6 of them minus 20 to 26 degrees and far to many minus 10 to minus 16. Here it is the 8th of March and it's snowing outside and this coming Wed. and Thurs. they are talking about a snow storm. Can't wait until spring comes so it can get up above 32 degrees. Has a critical mass of exJWs been reached?
by truthseeker init took the better part of 15 years but i believe we have finally arrived at that point where there is now a critical mass of former witnesses.. thousands of exjws come together on forums like this one and discuss findings, ideas and research.
there have been documentaries and even a movie made about life in the jehovah's witnesses.. ex jw websites, online forums, and discussion boards that set the wheels in motion in the early to late 90s have matured into powerful tools of social change within the organization.. the lies and false doctines taught by the watchtower bible & tract society are plainly accessible with just a cursory google search.. active elders leak boe letters, often weeks before they hit the notice board in a kingdom hall.. social media has allowed exjws to connect with those still in as well as those who have left.. the society have no game plan because information is power and they have lost the information war.
all they can do is cry wolf and warn the rank and file not to listen to apostates.. i don't know what future the society will face in the next ten years, but changing world events, social trends, and reactionary change from headquarters based on their own faulty biblical chronology has got them cornered like a raging animal.. it doesn't look good..

Religion as a whole is crazy in their thinking and teachings. So what makes Wt. teaching any diffrent. People who have to have religion will stream to the Wt. teaching because they are not happy with their crazy religion. So they just replace one crazy religion or another. My wife and I have given serveral talks to groups on the Wt. and what we have found out most don't even know how dangerous the Wt. cult is. Most of these poeple we have talk to don't believe in the bible or a god. So why do you think those that do believe in god and belong to a religious group that is as crazy as the Wt. would know anything about the Wt. cult? To them it all sounds good and makes sense. Terry it makes sense to me. I have always thought when it came to Wt. teachings they was trying to make you deviod of any human feelings. Weather sexually or otherwise. You could never be good enough. I always said it was like wearing a white suit and then jumping inti a septic tank at the same time being told you can not let your white suit get dirty. American inventions in since the 1890's
by Bella15 ini just read one of your posts on how the watchtower corporation always focus on the negative side ... then it got me thinking ... we have always have murder, rape, stealing, lying, idol worshipping, hatred, men laying with men, woman layign with woman, but we have never ever ever in the billions of years of the universe and don't know how many of human history have the following (some perhaps are reinventions but nevertheless) -- did i mention facebook people?????
these are only in america, how about around the world.
there are thousands of inventions that have make life better for us, as far as the wicked heart and mind of men, that's old news ... lol ... there is nothing new about war, murder, lying, homosexualist, rape,.

That's a good question. Reopened Mind and me will be married for 40 years at the end of march. So what has keep us together for so many years? One could say good commuication but there is more to it than that. Trust is very important. Trust that our mate will never do anything that will hurt the other in deed and speech. Forgiveness in each other short comings. Talking to each other in a loving way. We use love and dear when we talk to each other. Just knowing we have been to hell and back with each other makes us very close to each other. I could go on and on. But what is the most important thing in a relationship to me. Knowing every morning and during the day and the last thing before we go to sleep is hugging and kissing each other. It never grows old and proof we still love each other and want to be part of each other lifes. Still Totally ADD

Thirty Years a Watch Tower Slave

however, if i was newly awakening or on the verge of awakening, i dont think this book would have helped me a great deal.
brother schnell has some good thoughts, however, he is short on detail and description, and even shorter on proof and documentation.. it is interesting reading about the transition of the bible students from a small group of independent noncomformists into an organization characterized by total conformity.

The only time I heard of the book was in the late 70's. I was out in field service and the householder brought out this book and ask me what I thought of it. I looked at the title of the book and told the householder the person must not of been very smart if it took him 30 years to figure he did not want to be a JW. Then I told him every religion has people who are not happy in what they are in. This was at a time I was a total robot of the JW cult and I was very happy with my answer. If I only knew back then. Things would have been diffrent. I would think the person who wrote the book has died by now if not he is very old. That's all I know. Still Totally ADD

Almost 2 years lurking then sign up I believe in Jan. of 2009. I was the P.O. at the time. Then finally in Jan. 2011 I left and never looked back. I really had to think hard in what year this all happen. Boy were has all the time gone? Still Totally ADD
